Email & file archiving
Enterprise Vault design, upgrades, health checks and large-scale migrations, including SourceOne to EV.
Dubai · Data protection & AI architect · Founder of Virtech
Architect and advisor on enterprise backup, archiving and data governance for banks, government and healthcare across the GCC. Specialist in Enterprise Vault, InfoScale and Cohesity, and now helping the same organisations put AI to work on the data they trust.
Four areas, one goal: when an auditor, a regulator or a ransomware incident arrives, the data is there and provably intact.
Enterprise Vault design, upgrades, health checks and large-scale migrations, including SourceOne to EV.
NetBackup and Cohesity platforms: multi-site architecture, refreshes and recovery you can actually test.
InfoScale and VCS clustering for archive and storage services that cannot go down.
Retention, eDiscovery and compliance for UAE PDPL, CBUAE, SAMA and QCB, keeping data in-country.
Applied AI
Now I help enterprises turn it into an advantage: AI that runs on their own archives and backups, stays in-country, and is governed from day one. I don't do demos that never reach production.
Selected work
These aren't one-offs. Engagements like these are my everyday work across the Gulf and beyond. Clients are anonymised by sector and region.
A new Enterprise Vault platform and a full email archive migration for a major bank, with metadata, retention and legal holds intact.
Scaling the archive platform as clinical and corporate data volumes and retention demands grow.
A resilient Cohesity backup architecture across three locations, with recovery designed to be tested, not assumed.
An independent review of production clusters, delivered as a prioritised roadmap the team can act on.
About
I founded Virtech in Dubai and still spend most of my week hands-on: designing clusters, leading migrations and sitting with customers when something breaks. Virtech is the GCC's leading Enterprise Vault partner and the only certified EV trainer in the region.
What drives me is simple: building solutions to the problems that keep CIOs up at night, and seeing them hold up in production years later.
Away from work, I'm a husband and the father of two girls. You'll usually find us travelling somewhere new.
